Portfolio
Where the portfolio stands.
Every product is designed to be shelf-stable without refrigeration and to be tested for the stresses of spaceflight.
MycoShell
A grown radiation shield. The building is the shield: no separate shielding payload, no separate structural payload.
- Flat-packed, seeded scaffold
- Grows with water and local regolith
- Melanin-based gamma and proton attenuation
- Doubles as water filtration and waste processing
- Terrestrial spin-off: grown, sustainable construction material
Why shelf-stable
Space breaks ordinary supply chains.
In astronauts on 6 to 12 month ISS missions, gut, skin, nose and tongue microbes all shifted, with changes linked to skin rashes and immune alteration. Food degrades, medicines expire and no approved drug protects against deep-space radiation.
Months of usable shelf life. Missions to Mars last years, with no resupply and no quick return home.
Spotlight
SpaceBiotic Spore Capsule
Built on bacterial spores, the format that kept more than a billion live organisms per capsule through a simulated 3-year Mars round trip in an independent study.
Crew-health programme
Fourteen products, one idea: shelf-stable biology that works without a fridge.
Gut, immune and daily health

Medicine and recovery
On-Demand Peptide Library
Dried spores, each programmed to make one medicine on request within about 24 hours.

Exosome-based wound care for the slow wound healing seen in space.
Research programmeRead the full write-up →13Radiation Recovery Vesicles
Protective vesicles from radiation-tolerant microbes, to help tissues recover.
Research programmeRead the full write-up →Radioprotective probiotic
A synthetic-biology gut microbe designed to express Dsup-like and antioxidant radioprotective factors from within a crew member's own microbiome. At strain-design stage, it would complement MycoShell's ambient shielding with continuous internal protection. It carries the regulatory profile of a biologic, so it is deliberately parked behind MycoShell.
Decision support
Prioritised by Cosmion.
Each product is scored on evidence, technical risk, cost to test, regulatory path and mission relevance, so we know what to test next and why.
All products on this site are under research and development. They are not approved or cleared by any regulator and are not available for sale. Nothing here is medical advice, and no product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
